See what CT AM Tour Members have to say :
I recommend the Connecticut Amateur Tour to everyone who plays golf. It’s open to men, women, and seniors of all handicap levels. I’ve always felt that a ten handicap who plays a lot of different courses is a better player than a ten handicap who plays one course over and over and over. If you want to broaden your horizon, join the CT Am Tour. You could play CSGA One-day tournaments, they have about twelve tournaments with three or four at private courses, which you probably won’t get into because they fill up fast. You could join the Central Connecticut Golf Association and play ten public courses, no private courses, and you have to pay for all ten at once. I’m not sure if The Shoreline Golf Assoc. still exits, they had no schedule on their website for 2018. That leaves the CT AM Tour. Registration for tournaments is easy. They play about twice a week, with one public and one private course. You could play up to sixty tournaments in a year, with about thirty being at a private course. Or you could play just one. Maybe you just want to play TPC River Highlands or Lake of Isles. The CT AM Tour could be for you. Check out the schedule and see if there is a course that will challenge your game. -Greg G.
“I’ve been with Brian since day one. The field has expanded tremendously and the venues have never been better. Whatever your style of play, from the super-competitive, to the weekend-warrior, everyone is welcome. You show up, you register, you play. And if you want to know the results, they’ll be there online for the world to see. The members here are from all walks of life, and from all corners of New England. It’s great atmosphere, great show, and a great opportunity to showcase to others where your game is, meanwhile taking in the beauty and scenery of the game we all love.” Jeff L.
Better than belonging to a private club. Several different playing opportunities every week, but you never have to round up three buddies or worry about getting a starting time. Unlike belonging to a club, you only pay when you play. Many competition options at every tournament, with prize money or credit available to reward a good round…or just a lucky shot ! – Al
Last year 2016 was my first year as a member of the CT AM Tour. It was the most fun I had playing golf in 26 years since I started playing golf. Meeting new people and playing new courses all in a tournament setting. Brian does a great job setting up tee times and great courses. I wish I knew about CT AM Tour years ago because its awesome to play as many tournaments as you would like. It doesn’t get much better then the CT AM Tour! Great job Brian. – Larry
I have been a member of the CT AM Tour since it’s inception and have enjoyed every minute of it. I played on the Golf Channel Am Tour for 2 years and paid twice as much for tournaments and they were not organized and payouts don’t compare to what the CT AM Tour pays. We play the best courses in Connecticut Massachusetts and Rhode Island and I can’t wait for the 2017 season to begin. The members of our tour are the best, we have members of all skill levels and we all help each other to learn the rules of the game together. Every year we get new members so if you are reading this call or email Brian our tour director who is the best!!! Love the game!! See you on the links. – Charlie
I joined the CT AM Tour a couple of years ago without knowing anyone or having ever played in a tournament before. Now I can’t imagine going through a golf season without being a part of it. The people are great to play with, everyone has a fun time on the course. It’s great playing different courses all over the region that normally I wouldn’t have access to. Also by playing in the tournaments, my golf game has improved drastically over just the last 2 seasons which I attribute to playing in these tournaments. I’m looking forward to another great season this year! – Peter
I have been a member for several years. The CT AM Tour has given me, and others, an opportunity to play venues that would not normally be accessible. Brian does a great job coordinating your golfing experience in a competitive atmosphere. Great golf, great people, great time and a great deal – Fred
Great league! I get to play private courses that I would never play. – Linda
Last season was my first year playing on the CT AM Tour. I was very nervous for the first event, but after a few moments on the practice tee my nerves settled right away. Quite a few members were more than happy to welcome me and make me feel comfortable. The foursomes were great company and the courses were extremely enjoyable. – Josh
I was only able to play in a handful of tournaments. I enjoyed each and every one . What a great opportunity to play on really great private courses. My favorite is always Bulls Bridge. The tournaments are run perfectly by Brian. Everyone has a chance to win a prize. – Paul
The CT AM Tour provides an easy and enjoyable way to play many top-rated private and public golf clubs in the area. The Tour offers a competitive tournament like format for golfers of all levels regardless of skill level. I’ve been a member for several years and have met many new friends while improving my game. Brian Blade does a fantastic job running the Tour with a full website to keep everyone up to date as well as regular emails to remind members of tournaments, results and upcoming events. I highly recommend it to any golfer- it gets you out more, allows you to play great courses you’d never have access to and may even improve your game and circle of golfing buddies. – Kenn
I have been a member of the CT AM Golf Tour for several years. I recommend joining to anyone who is interested in playing golf, meeting new people and playing at some courses you would otherwise never play. It’s been a lot of fun and I’ve enjoyed the people who belong. It’s very well organized and offers a welcoming atmosphere regardless of the level of golf that you play. – Barbara
I have been a member of the CT AM Golf Tour for several years and have had the pleasure of playing some of the most beautiful and challenging private courses in the area. This is because of your commitment to securing the best golf experience possible for our members. The selection is unparalleled – no other club, league or golf tour offers the variety of courses that CT AM does.
The tour provides a growing range of competitive opportunities for those who enjoy tournament play. However, my playing time is limited and I enjoy being able to play exceptional courses and not need to be concerned with where I fall in the competition. This was helpful when an injury limited my play. I was always welcome and able to play the number of holes my condition could handle.
I love it and so do my friends – as women we are not discriminated against and can compete with the rest of the field. Hats off to you, Brian for the professional way you run the league.
The CT Amateur Golf Tour offers a unique opportunity to play friendly competitive golf on many different courses including difficult to access private courses all around Connecticut. I have been a member for several years and it has changed the way I approach my golf game. I have recruited several of my friends to join and they have also been very gratified with the experience.
